Hello all

Here we are back in lock down 2. No sport being played of any kind -
even singles tennis is cancelled.

One of the drawbacks of owning the site is that the upkeep still has to
carry on whether that is bank loan repayments, monthly insurance
payments, water rates, electricity invoices or simply low level
background heating to stop water pipes from freezing.

There is also some ground maintenance to continue - hopefully one last
cut of the grass before it 'hibernates' for the year and despite the
fact that we are not playing we continue to mark the lines on football
pitches occasionally before the markings disappear and we have to start
measuring the pitches out again from scratch - a very time consuming job.

Many of you pay your child's annual subscription by standing order every
month, although some have already paid in full for the season. Now there
is no football happening until 2nd December (current timescale) you have
a choice between continuing to pay November's standing order or stopping
the payment for this month. This is an action you can take yourself as
it is a standing order. Alternatively if you have already paid for the
season then please contact Mick or myself to request a month's rebate.

We do appreciate all the support you gave the club last time we were in
lock down and I am loath to ask for your support again as I appreciate
more parents will now be feeling the pinch. As before though, I
desperately want our football club to survive and emerge intact when we
finally see the end of this pandemic, so I have to ask yet again for
your financial support and hope that you will feel able to continue with
this month's subscription.
