Bungay finish fifth

Bungay now know that they will end their first season back in Senior football in fifth place in the Anglian Combination Division 1 table - a highly respectable return, and their highest league position since they were releagted from the Premier Division way back in 1990. Onward and upward in 2016-17!

Veterans end with a win

Bungay Veterans  won 7-2 away to Newton Flotman, with player-mamanger Kev Talbot getting a hat-trick, taking him to 16 for the season. They wil finish second, and will hope that this is enough for promotion.

February, March and April 100 Club winners drawn

The draws for February, March and April were made after the 1st Team game last Saturday, and the winners were:

Titles for Under 15s and 14s boys, and Under 12 girls

The Under 15s beat their nearest challengers Caister Roma Centurions 4-0 to finish the season unbeaten and seven points clear. The Under 14s ended their season by beating KPFC Titans 8-2 to win the title by eight points.
TheUnder 12 boys Athletic beat Loddon Grasshoppers 2-1 in their final game to finish third.
Well done to the Under 12 Girls, who beat rivals Thorpe United 3-2 to clinch their League title for the second consecutive year.

Congratulations to the Under 10s boys, who played against Norwich City's Suffolk School of Excellence team recently, and in an entertaining game were narrowly beaten 5-7. This sets them up for the national futsal competition at Hertford on 28th May, where they will be representing Suffolk FA.

5 a side dates announced

Girls' event at the Maltings

Bungay Town held a inter schools tournament at Maltings Meadow on Wednesday with 14 local teams taking part in and enjoyable afternoon.
School teams from Bungay St Edmunds, Earsham, Ditchingham,Langley,Edgar Sewter, Ilketshall,Glebeland Harleston took part.
