October Player of the Month

Aiden Lowe was voted Player of the Month for October with Craig Hunting runner up for the second month in a row

Around the Club: Reserves draw, 'A' and Sunday sides win

Bungay Reserves drew 3-3 at home to Redgrave Rangers and the 'A' team got their first win of the season, 3-1 at hoem against Waveney Gunners.
Both Sunday sides won their County Cup ties to reach the quarter-finals: the 1st team 5-1 away to New Asrley Club and the Reserves 9-1 at home to AFC Elmsett Eagles. The Ladies' homeCounty Cup tie was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Junior round-up

With seven teams in action, there were mixed fortunes, with three wins and four defeats.
Of the boys' teams, all of whom were at home, the Under 14s beat Waveney Pumas 8-3, the Under 13s lost 4-7 to Hemsby Hornets, the Under 12s beat Waveney Lions 5-0 but the Under 11 Athletic lost 0-14 to Gorleston Rangers Hawks.
Of the girls' teams, the Under 16s were beaten 4-0 away to Sprowston, the Under 14s lost heavily at hoem to top of the table Thetford Bulldogs but the Under 11s won 8-0 away to Sprowston.

Renovation work  on 1st Team pitch

Work started on this on 5th June, with the old surface being removed and the level raised. The new seed is now growing well. Click link for update and photos.

New Girls' teams looking for players

Bungay Town Girls have just started 2 new teams to complement the other girls teams they currently have, The U10's (school years 4-5) are training on a wed evening 5.30-6.30pm under Leah Shepherd and Inna Marx from the ladies team,and will start their league games early in November. The U12's (yrs6-7)will train on a Thurs evening under coach Charlotte Power 5.30-6.30pm, they will play friendly games shortly to build up numbers this season and start next season at U13's, any new players can just turn up or for info call Graham 07778 358464

Players required for junior teams

Calling all budding junior footballers - Bungay Town needs you! All of our junior teams are looking for players for next season - from Under 6 through to Under 16, boys and girls. Most teams train throughout the Summer, so you can join now, even though it is the end of the season. Contact the team manager for your age group or Secretary Mick Simpson on 07971168446.

Bungay Toddlers Football Class
