First friendlies of new seaon announced

The first friendly of the new season will be against Saffron Walden Town on Saturday July 18th, KO2.30pm. See fixtures page for friendlies arranged to date.

Training starts @ 6.45pm on Wed 8th July

The first league match is in 5 weeks. Training starts next Wednesday. Your chance to get fit and impress the Managers and push for a place in the starting 11

New Manager for Saturday Ressies

The club are delighted to anounce the appointment of Jason Trett as Reserve Team Manager for the new season. Jason brings with him a wealth of experience from his spells at Poringland and Hoveton. Jason says he "can't wait to get started".

Congratulations to Bungay coach Simon Jackson

Simon completed his FA Uefa B coaching licence last Thursday. Simon will be leading training sessions for the new season and new and current players are encouraged to come and join the Bungay revolution!

Cup and League Double

Bungay 3 Wells 2

Two goals from substitute Shaun Flint, including a 90th minute winner, helped Bungay to come from behind to secure the League Cup at the PDC in Norwich on Tuesday. Click here for match report. 
Terry Reeve assures us that it is 66 years since Bungay Town 1st Team last won a cup and league double. - I can feel a new book coming on!

Around the Club: summary of season

Bungay Reserves finished in seventh place. Bungay 'A' had a fantastic second-half of the season, and finished fifth, as well as making the League Cup semi-final.
Sunday 1st Team won their Championship, and the Sunday Reserves finsished in fifth place, as well as winning the County Sunday Trophy.
The Ladies First Team ended the season strongly and finished in fourth spot. The Ladies Reserves finished mid-table, a good result for their first season.

Junior round-up: summary of season

Well done to the Under 11 Girls, who finished as league champions - see picture.
Both the Under 14s and Under 16s girls enjoyed their seasons, despite propping up their divisions.
Amongst the boys' teams, the Under 14s finished in an excellent fourth spot in Division One,
7th was a popular spot for Bungay teams, with the Under 13s, Under 12s and Under 11 United all finishing here - the Under 13s were also Shield runners-up. The Under 11 Athletic finished in 9th spot.

March Player of the Month - 2015

Kevin Riches was voted Player of the Month for March with Sam Olley in second spot. Remember these players are voted for by team mates and spectators after each match. If you would like to add your vote please see Tim Clarke in clubhouse after the match.

June 100 Club winners drawn

The draw for June was made in the Clubhouse after the Committee Meeting on Monday 8th, and Pauline Shadbolt (No. 26) won the monthly prize of £50, with N. Reynolds (No, 44) winning the quarterly jackpot prize of £150.

Adults Presentation night

Saturday evening witnessed a splendid presentation evening with Kevin Riches walking off with both the Players' Player of the Year award and the Supporters' Player of the Year award. MC, Terry Reeve, held the audience spellbound with a detailed analysis of the season's statistics - not all were entirely true though I believe!

Under 8's, U9's and U12's Boys win Respect Awards

Congratulations to the Bungay teams who were awarded the League's Respect award for their age group for the whole season. These awards are based on the opposition's marks after every match. See Under 8's photo. See U9's Photo

Under 10's Girls

this is their first season together in the Norfolk Girls league, they play Saturday mornings and train wed evenings 5-6pm, any new player welcome to join in.

Calling all budding junior footballers - Bungay Town needs you! All of our junior teams are looking for players for next season - from Under 6 through to Under 16, boys and girls.
