Around the Club: Reserves, 'A', Ladies and both Sunday sides win, only Ladies Reserves beaten

Bungay Reserves beat Sprowston Athletic Reserves 4-0 at the Maltings, and the 'A' moved up to fifth after their 3-1 home win against Ellingham. 
Sunday 1st Team won easily 6-1 away to Norman Wanderers Reserves and the Sunday Reserves beat Newsman Celtic 2-1 at home. The Ladies 1st Team beat Sprowston 3-1 at the Maltings - click here for match report - but the Sunday Reserves lost 1-2 away to local rivals Harleston (click here for match report). 
 

Junior round-up

Three wins and just one defeat for the boys' sides this week:  the Under 14s had another excellent result, winning 2-1 away to third-placed Kirkley & Pakefield Hurricanes. The Under 13s were well beaten 0-15 at Beccles Town but the Under 12s won 2-1 at Heigham Park Rangers, and the Under 11 Athletic claimed their first win of the season after beating Bohemians Meteors 4-1 at home - well done lads!
One win and two defeats for the girls' teams: the Under 16 girls lost 0-2 at home to Mulbarton Belles and the Under 14s lost 0-5 away to Scole but the Under 11s won 9-0 away to North Walsham.

January Player of the Month - 2015

Joe Macfarlane was voted Player of the Month for January with Shaun Whiteman in second spot. Remember these players are voted for by team mates and spectators alike after each match. If you would like to add your vote please see Tim Clarke in clubhouse after the match.

December 100 Club winner drawn

The draws for December were made in the Clubhouse after the Committee Meeting on Monday 8th, and the winner of both the draws was new Town Reeve and Committee Member Terry Reeve, who won both the £50 and £150 prizes, as both of his numbers (24 & 89) were drawn out.

Promotion push starts now

Manager Tim Clarke announced last week that he has completed the signing of Lee Houghton from Caister.

Lee is a versatile midfielder who has also been at Mattishall, Blofield & Diss (in fact a few years ago he scored a goal against us when playing for Mattishall at the Maltings Meadow).

Caister have kindly waived the 7 days notice and Tim thanks Danny Parker @ Caister for his assistance.

New Girls' teams looking for players

Bungay Town Girls have just started 2 new teams to complement the other girls teams they currently have, The U10's (school years 4-5) are training on a wed evening 5.30-6.30pm under Leah Shepherd and Inna Marx from the ladies team,and will start their league games early in November. The U12's (yrs6-7)will train on a Thurs evening under coach Charlotte Power 5.30-6.30pm, they will play friendly games shortly to build up numbers this season and start next season at U13's, any new players can just turn up or for info call Graham 07778 358464

Players required for junior teams

Calling all budding junior footballers - Bungay Town needs you! All of our junior teams are looking for players for next season - from Under 6 through to Under 16, boys and girls. Most teams train throughout the Summer, so you can join now, even though it is the end of the season. Contact the team manager for your age group or Secretary Mick Simpson on 07971168446.

Bungay Toddlers Football Class
